But then I realize that I literally don't need anything like that. At all.
My house has a Mr. Coffee coffee pot with one on switch and a standard sized coffee pot. There are no timers, no clock, and no form of settings whatsoever.
I'm sure there are brewing devices even simpler than what I have, but one on switch seems pretty basic. And I am not complaining about it.
It is very refreshing to have some device that is not over complicated like most other electronic devices these days. Some times it is more enjoyable to use something with ease, rather than pushing multiple buttons to achieve the same end goal: liquid gold.
Another downside to having a Keurig is the fact that the K-cups are not biodegradable. This then means that every single use K-cup that is used and thrown out in turn sits in landfills, never decomposing (much like diapers).

I will personally not be getting a Keurig due to this level of waste. However, if you already have one, you can purchase reusable K-cups and buy pounds of coffee ground for that specific filter type! This would tremendously help keep the abundance of waste down, while also saving you money in the long run!
That's a win-win for all involved.
I like my simple coffee pot, but I'm sure I will end up buying something at least slightly more complicated as I get older. But until then, I like my little Mr. Coffee.
